Statistics South Africa’s 2013 Post and Telecommunications industry report\u00a0shows that fixed-line call revenue dropped from R16.262 billion in 2010 to R11.618 billion in 2013.<\/p>\n

Telkom is the biggest fixed-line service provider in South Africa, and it is therefore no surprise that the company is moving into mobile<\/a><\/strong> and IT services<\/a><\/strong> for future growth.<\/p>\n

The report is based on Stats SA\u2019s census of enterprises in the post and telecommunications industry, and was conducted by post, email, fax, telephone, and personal visits.<\/p>\n

The reporting period for the research was the financial year ended on any date between 1 July 2012 and 30 June 2013.<\/p>\n

The table below shows income details from services in the South African telecommunications industry between 2010 and 2013.<\/p>\n
