MWEB ADSL subscribers have reported problems with their connections on the morning of 21 October, stating\u00a0they are receiving authentication errors.<\/p>\n

The problem seems to be linked to\u00a0an outage in MWEB\u2019s data centre in Cape Town, which has also taken the service provider\u2019s website and call centre offline.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently investigating an outage which is affecting some services hosted in our data centre in Cape Town,\u201d MWEB said on Twitter and Facebook.<\/p>\n

Engineers are on site, and updates will follow shortly, said MWEB.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe outage has affected our telephony system, therefore you will not be able to reach our call centre at the moment. Please bear with us during this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Update<\/strong>: MWEB said faulty\u00a0hardware has been replaced and services should begin returning to normal\u00a0by 09:00.<\/p>\n
