{"id":14680,"date":"2010-08-25T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-08-25T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-08-25T12:00:00","modified_gmt":"2010-08-25T10:00:00","slug":"get-your-adsl-bandwidth-with-mobile-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/adsl\/14680-get-your-adsl-bandwidth-with-mobile-payments.html","title":{"rendered":"Get your ADSL bandwidth with mobile payments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Axxess is well known for its prepaid ADSL vouchers which are available from Pick n Pay and Engen, and has now extended the availability of its prepaid data to mobile payments.<\/p>\n<p>Axxess recently launched its new mobile payment technology in partnership with Pocit, making it possible to purchase data from the ISP using a standard mobile phone.<\/p>\n<p>The Axxess ADSL data vouchers are priced at R70 per GB, and come in sizes between 1 GB and 5 GB.<\/p>\n<p>The ADSL vouchers can also be used at Always On hotspots nationwide where the price will effectively be R70 for 130 MB of data.<\/p>\n<p>If you use your voucher at such a hotspot the bandwidth available on it is immediately reduced to 130MB per R70, explains the Axxess website. Lost bandwidth isn&#8217;t recovered if you continue to use the voucher on ADSL afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to other per-gigabyte services the pricing of these vouchers are a little steep. Axxess itself offers capped month-to-month ADSL services from R19 per GB.<\/p>\n<p>According to Axxess the advantages of the vouchers are that they don&#8217;t require a credit card, debit order, or online banking.
