An Indigogo campaign was recently launched<\/strong><\/a> for the\u00a0Turis Omnia<\/a><\/strong>, promising backers a high-security, high-performance, open-source router.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith powerful hardware, Turris Omnia can handle gigabit traffic and still be able to do much more,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can use it as a home server, NAS, printserver, and it even has a virtual server built-in.”<\/p>\n

The company said that besides serving as a home router, the device also analyses traffic between the Internet and the home network, and identifies suspicious data flows.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn case an attack is detected, corresponding updates are prepared and distributed to the whole Turris network, thus helping to protect all its users.”<\/p>\n
