Protests demanding the removal of Jacob Zuma as president of South Africa are being planned for at least 4 different dates.<\/p>\n

Negative sentiments towards the President were reignited after\u00a0he removed Nhlanhla Nene as the Minister of Finance<\/strong><\/a> and replaced him with David van Rooyen.<\/p>\n

The rand’s\u00a0value subsequently plummeted to new lows against foreign currencies,\u00a0including briefly touching R16 to the US dollar.<\/p>\n

Zuma\u2019s actions sparked multiple\u00a0#ZumaMustFall campaigns on Twitter and Facebook, with\u00a0citizens organising several\u00a0protest marches against the President.<\/p>\n
