{"id":15087,"date":"2010-09-10T14:14:00","date_gmt":"2010-09-10T12:14:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-09-10T14:14:00","modified_gmt":"2010-09-10T12:14:00","slug":"google-gives-ananzi-warning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/15087-google-gives-ananzi-warning.html","title":{"rendered":"Google gives Ananzi warning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The South African search war has been won by Google.co.za years ago, and local search engines like Ananzi and Aardvark have lost their traction in the market.<\/p>\n<p>Ananzi currently has a South African Alexa traffic rank of 180, well below Google.co.za which is the most visited website in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Ananzi has now been dealt another blow.&nbsp; Google is warning its search users that visiting Ananzi may harm their computer.&nbsp; The malware warning &ldquo;Warning &#8211; visiting this web site may harm your computer!&rdquo; appears when clicking on an Ananzi.co.za link in Google.<\/p>\n<p>Google&rsquo;s safe browsing diagnostic page about Ananzi reveals that &ldquo;Of the 13 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 3 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent.
