{"id":151839,"date":"2016-01-12T09:27:14","date_gmt":"2016-01-12T07:27:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=151839"},"modified":"2016-01-12T09:29:13","modified_gmt":"2016-01-12T07:29:13","slug":"your-hidden-tinder-desirability-score","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/151839-your-hidden-tinder-desirability-score.html","title":{"rendered":"Your hidden Tinder desirability score"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tinder has admitted that it gives users a\u00a0hidden &#8220;desirability&#8221; score based on an algorithm determined by &#8220;a lot of factors&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2016\/01\/11\/tinder-desirability-score\/\" target=\"_blank\">Engadget<\/a><\/strong>, Tinder did not explain what the factors used in the algorithm are.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The suggestion is that it&#8217;s partly a reflection of how closely you match traits that convince people to swipe right,&#8221; said Engadget.<\/p>\n<p>Tinder said the desirability score is not a measure of\u00a0&#8220;universal attractiveness&#8221;, as people find different traits appealing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And you might do better simply because of who picks you.
