A new backdoor trojan called T9000 has the ability to steal files, take screenshots, and record Skype conversations.<\/p>\n
The trojan also has the ability to avoid antivirus software detection.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe malware goes to great lengths to identify a total of 24 potential security products that may be running on a system and customizes its installation mechanism to specifically evade those that are installed,\u201d Palo Alto Networks said<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt uses a multi-stage installation process with specific checks at each point to identify if it is undergoing analysis by a security researcher.\u201d<\/p>\n Softpedia reported that<\/strong><\/a> the T9000 trojan is an evolution of an older backdoor called T5000, which targeted human rights activist.<\/p>\n Microsoft issued the following statement in response to news of the trojan.<\/p>\n To further protect our customers, we\u2019ve added detection for the malicious software known as \u2018T9000\u2019 to Windows Defender.
