{"id":155328,"date":"2016-02-16T16:41:24","date_gmt":"2016-02-16T14:41:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=155328"},"modified":"2016-02-16T20:33:16","modified_gmt":"2016-02-16T18:33:16","slug":"mtn-network-still-has-connectivity-challenges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/155328-mtn-network-still-has-connectivity-challenges.html","title":{"rendered":"MTN &#8220;connectivity challenges&#8221; fully resolved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Update:<\/strong> MTN has issued a statement saying it has fully resolved the issue on its network.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The intermittent connection issue on the MTN network has been fully resolved and all services are now fully restored.<\/p>\n<p>The issue was caused by a malfunction on a network node that carries traffic for subscribers who were affected.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, MTN sincerely apologises to its customers for the inconvenience caused.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Original article<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MTN has confirmed reports that the connectivity issues on its network have not been fully resolved.<\/p>\n<p>This comes after the network <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/155230-mtn-network-hit-by-connectivity-issues.html\"><strong>said yesterday<\/strong><\/a> (15 February) that it has been experiencing intermittent issues that affected about a million subscribers.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, MTN said that it had fixed the problem, was monitoring the situation, and would provide updates if anything changed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMTN\u2019s engineers implemented a solution yesterday evening which alleviated some of the problems and restored services,\u201d MTN said. \u201cHowever, some of the subscribers are still experiencing connectivity challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are continuing our investigations with the support of all the parties in order to fully restore services.
