System Shock 3 has coaxed Warren Spector out of his life of academia to join the team at Otherside Entertainment working on the game, Ars Technica reported<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Spector, who worked on games like Deus Ex and Thief, joins the team as studio director after serving briefly as a creative advisor.<\/p>\n

He joins studio founder Paul Neurath who he worked with at Looking Glass on games like Thief and Ultima Underworld.<\/p>\n

In addition to System Shock 3, Otherside Entertainment is also working on a spiritual successor to Ultima Underworld called Ultima Ascension.<\/p>\n
