{"id":156935,"date":"2016-03-01T10:00:03","date_gmt":"2016-03-01T08:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=156935"},"modified":"2016-03-01T10:28:09","modified_gmt":"2016-03-01T08:28:09","slug":"vox-telecom-prices-to-increase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/telecoms\/156935-vox-telecom-prices-to-increase.html","title":{"rendered":"Vox Telecom prices to increase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vox Telecom has informed its subscribers that they can expect price increases, necessitated by \u201csignificant inflation in critical input costs\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The company told subscribers \u201cwe regret to inform you that due to significant inflation in critical input costs, an increase in fees applicable to your services has unfortunately become unavoidable\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It added that, as a result of its ongoing cost efficiency initiatives, the increase in fees will, in all instances, be limited to 3.9%.<\/p>\n<p>According to Vox Telecom\u2019s helpdesk, all products are affected by the price increase &#8211; including the company\u2019s Fatpipe ADSL services.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/telecoms\/154044-south-african-telecoms-prices-in-2016-what-to-expect.html\"><strong>Vox Telecom CEO Jacques du Toit told MyBroadband<\/strong><\/a> in February that there will be price increases on some Vox products, but they were looking at ways to lower the impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe rand has lost approximately 50% of its value against the dollar over the last 12 months. To pass this on to the consumer will not be sustainable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCustomers will be given various options to soften the impact.
