Microsoft wants\u00a0to build\u00a0ad-blocking capabilities into the next version of its Edge browser, ZDNet reported<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Adding ad-blocking is the fourth-highest priority for the Microsoft Edge development team.<\/p>\n

It is preceded by:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Extensions and plugin functionality, with an extension\/plugin store.<\/li>\n
  2. Bring back the download prompt and \u201cSave As\u2026\u201d on PC.<\/li>\n
  3. Address reports that Edge crashes or hangs frequently on desktop.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    According to the report, work on the download prompt is finished, while plugin functionality will be included with the next version of the browser.<\/p>\n

    The next version of Microsoft Edge will launch with the 2016 Anniversary Update<\/a><\/strong> of Windows 10 (codenamed Redstone), due out between May-September 2016.<\/p>\n
