{"id":161320,"date":"2016-04-12T11:24:35","date_gmt":"2016-04-12T09:24:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=161320"},"modified":"2016-04-12T11:26:32","modified_gmt":"2016-04-12T09:26:32","slug":"code-a-winning-bomberman-ai-and-get-r70000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/161320-code-a-winning-bomberman-ai-and-get-r70000.html","title":{"rendered":"Code a winning Bomberman AI and get R70,000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Entelect has announced that its\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/challenge.entelect.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\">2016 AI challenge<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is based on\u00a0the 1980s video game Bomberman.<\/p>\n<p>Four players will be placed in an unfamiliar environment, and must find their way through a maze while avoiding enemies and bombs.<\/p>\n<p>The person who survives to the end with the most points is the winner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, we are catering for and providing sample bots for the following languages: C++, C#, F#, Java, Node.JS, and Python, whilst the reference bot is coded in C#,\u201d said Timothy Kroon, general manager of professional services at Entelect.<\/p>\n<p>Entelect has changed the R200,000 prize pool distribution, so that the top 8 finalists get prizes.
