{"id":16193,"date":"2010-10-31T12:35:00","date_gmt":"2010-10-31T10:35:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-10-31T12:35:00","modified_gmt":"2010-10-31T10:35:00","slug":"mybroadband-gets-iphone-and-android-apps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/16193-mybroadband-gets-iphone-and-android-apps.html","title":{"rendered":"MyBroadband gets iPhone and Android Apps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Software Applications (more commonly known as Apps) have become very  popular with smartphone users, especially since the launch of Apple&rsquo;s App Store in 2008, which features both free and paid applications.<\/p>\n<p>Smartphone app stores are most commonly associated with  mobile operating systems such as the iPhone OS (iOS), Android, BlackBerry, Symbian and Meego.<\/p>\n<p>To date around 300,000 iPhone Apps and 100,000 Android Apps have been released, giving a strong indication of the popularity of these  smartphone applications.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous MyBroadband and MyGaming users have been asking for  dedicated iPhone and Android forum apps and their requests did not fall  on deaf ears.<\/p>\n<p>MyBroadband recently released four new apps: iPhone and Android forum  apps for MyBroadband as well as iPhone and Android forum apps for  MyGaming.<\/p>\n<p>The applications are available free of charge on both the Apple App  Store and Android Market under the names &lsquo;MyBroadband&rsquo; and &lsquo;MyGaming&rsquo;.
