It then expanded to all apps from November 2015.

Developers had until 11 January to log into the Google Play Developer Console and state whether their apps contained ads or not.

Google’s new policy covers any type of ad being shown throughout the app, whether native, display, banner, or served up through third-party networks.

The feature does not appear to have rolled out to the whole Android userbase yet, as many report that they do not yet see the label.

Google Play in-app ads label

More on Android

BlackBerry PRIV upgrade to Android Marshmallow released

Chromebooks set to receive Android apps

Outlook for Android Wear is here

Android’s latest security release

New Stagefright security flaw hits millions of Android smartphones

[17934,16
36,397,167,10100
post-163484","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-smartphones","category-software","tag-active","tag-android","tag-google","tag-google-play
