When accessing their\u00a0bills online, MTN clients are being shown the bills of other subscribers.<\/p>\n

This is according to a subscriber who told MyBroadband he was able to see thousands of bills that weren\u2019t his own.<\/p>\n

He logged in as normal on MTN’s e-billing site, received a one-time PIN, and accessed the client portal – which looked the same as it always does.<\/p>\n

However, when he tried to download his invoice, he was shown the names, numbers, and bills of other customers.<\/p>\n

To find his bill, he had to use the browser\u2019s search feature to look for his number – wading through the bills of other subscribers which contained personal information.<\/p>\n

MTN was asked for comment on the data leak, but the company did not respond by the time of publication.<\/p>\n

Update<\/strong>: MTN’s\u00a0Twitter account has retweeted an apology to customers regarding its online billing system, which it said has been deactivated until the security issue has been resolved.<\/p>\n
