teasing new fixed LTE broadband service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FNB has informed its uncapped ADSL subscribers their <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/adsl\/167138-fnb-uncapped-adsl-shutting-down.html\"><strong>discounts and services will soon be cancelled<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Discounts on FNB\u2019s uncapped ADSL services will stop on\u00a01 July, and the accounts will be discontinued on\u00a01 August.<\/p>\n<p>Clients can choose to migrate their ADSL service to AlwaysOn, or take up a new LTE deal.<\/p>\n<p>FNB said\u00a0its fixed LTE offer will be available soon, and that subscribers can earn up to 40% of their total SIM spend back in eBucks.<\/p>\n<p>This forms part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/banking\/167130-fnb-ebucks-has-changed-its-rewards-programme-all-the-details.html\"><strong>changes to the eBucks rewards system<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Customers who take up its fixed LTE service will also receive a free router worth R2,500.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"fixedlte:cellcoriburst\">FNB fixed LTE: Cell C or iBurst?<\/h3>\n<p>FNB is yet to confirm whether its LTE service will be based on its existing FNB Mobile services with Cell C, or its <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadband\/164862-fnb-connect-uncapped-lte-update.html\"><strong>uncapped LTE trial with iBurst<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>FNB has been testing\u00a0uncapped LTE operated by iBurst since the end of 2015.<\/p>\n<p>iBurst&#8217;s new owner, Multisource, said it also\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wireless\/149387-iburst-to-roll-out-lte-advanced-network.html\" target=\"_blank\">plans to roll out high speed LTE-Advanced services<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>FNB CEO Jacques Celliers recently\u00a0said the\u00a0uncapped LTE service was in its \u201cearly days\u201d, and declined to comment on a commercial launch.<\/p>\n<p>However, FNB\u2019s call centre provided clients with\u00a0the following\u00a0contract data prices for the LTE service:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500MB \u2013 <strong>R35<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1GB + 1GB nite data \u2013 <strong>R65<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>2GB + 2GB nite data \u2013 <strong>R195<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>5GB + 5GB nite data \u2013
