{"id":168235,"date":"2016-06-13T11:01:11","date_gmt":"2016-06-13T09:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=168235"},"modified":"2016-06-13T11:51:56","modified_gmt":"2016-06-13T09:51:56","slug":"dstv-explora-getting-showmax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/168235-dstv-explora-getting-showmax.html","title":{"rendered":"DStv Explora getting ShowMax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.showmax.com\/eng?utm_source=display&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;utm_campaign=mygaming&amp;utm_term=heros&amp;utm_content=heros&amp;utm_placement=728x90&amp;utm_creative=image\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>ShowMax\u2019s streaming video service<\/strong><\/a> is now available on the DStv Explora decoder, following its release on Apple TV, AirPlay, and Chromecast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Explora owners this is a risk-free proposition \u2013 binge entire box sets from the very beginning without having to buy any new equipment,\u201d said Barron Ernst, Chief Product Officer of ShowMax.<\/p>\n<p>To access ShowMax on an Explora, the decoder needs to be connected to the Internet.<\/p>\n<p>ShowMax will be added to all active DStv Exploras in South Africa in a phased roll-out starting on 13 June.<\/p>\n<p>The automatic Explora software update process should be completed over the course of the next few days, said ShowMax.<\/p>\n<p>To access ShowMax once the software update has taken place, press the blue DStv button, scroll to Watch Now, and select ShowMax.<\/p>\n<p>A ShowMax subscription is needed to access the service.
