{"id":168353,"date":"2016-06-13T18:05:00","date_gmt":"2016-06-13T16:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=168353"},"modified":"2016-06-13T19:00:36","modified_gmt":"2016-06-13T17:00:36","slug":"anonymous-takes-down-eff-website","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/security\/168353-anonymous-takes-down-eff-website.html","title":{"rendered":"Anonymous takes down EFF website"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The attacker who <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/security\/168303-this-is-how-i-took-down-the-sabc-anonymous-hacker.html\">took down the SABC&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> websites over the weekend with a distributed denial of service attack knocked the website of the Economic Freedom Fighters offline on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>According to posts on Twitter, Anonymous Africa said a member of the EFF said they\u00a0were bluffing about taking down the EFF site, and that they\u00a0did not have the power.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Challange accepted,&#8221; said Anonymous Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The website was not down long. &#8220;Just proving a point racists who think they are untouchable,&#8221; the group said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The EFF were selected for attention for becoming a black version of the German Nazi Party. Anonymous Africa has long stood up against racists.
