{"id":168427,"date":"2016-06-14T08:58:31","date_gmt":"2016-06-14T06:58:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=168427"},"modified":"2016-06-14T08:59:47","modified_gmt":"2016-06-14T06:59:47","slug":"twitter-makes-it-easy-to-block-users","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/168427-twitter-makes-it-easy-to-block-users.html","title":{"rendered":"Twitter makes it easy to block users"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/safety\/status\/742404025354747904\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Twitter has announced<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0it is making blocking users easier in a bid to help \u201ccontrol the Twitter experience\u201d and fight online abuse.<\/p>\n<p>Block is a \u201cpowerful tool to restrict people from contacting you or seeing your Tweets when logged into Twitter\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The tool is not new, but it is now possible to block a user by going to a disruptive tweet and choosing \u201cBlock\u201d from the &#8220;&#8230;&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>When you block someone on Twitter, they cannot follow you or send Direct Messages.
