Microsoft has stepped up its notifications to Windows 7 and 8.1 users who are yet to update their operating system to Windows 10.<\/p>\n

As reported by The Guardian<\/strong><\/a>, the company has started showing users full-screen notifications – notifying them that the Windows 10 free upgrade expires on 29 July 2016.<\/p>\n

The \u201cSorry to interrupt\u201d notification – shown below – takes over the whole screen and forces users to select either to upgrade at once or to be reminded later, according to the report.<\/p>\n

The “remind me later” option causes the pop-up to show every three days until Windows 10 is installed.<\/p>\n

“Two less-prominent options will allow the user to select to be notified three more times in total or never to be notified again,” stated the report.<\/p>\n

The full-screen notification follows criticism from Windows users about being “tricked” into installing Windows 10<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
