{"id":171781,"date":"2016-07-13T10:55:50","date_gmt":"2016-07-13T08:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=171781"},"modified":"2016-07-13T10:56:48","modified_gmt":"2016-07-13T08:56:48","slug":"windows-server-2016-launch-details-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/171781-windows-server-2016-launch-details-announced.html","title":{"rendered":"Windows Server 2016 launch details announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has announced that\u00a0Windows Server 2016 and System Center 2016 will launch at its Ignite conference on 26 September.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report by <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/information-technology\/2016\/07\/windows-server-2016-coming-in-september-with-new-servicing-for-nano-server\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Ars Technica<\/strong><\/a>, full installations of the operating system, including the GUI and shell, will continue to be serviced on the &#8220;5+5&#8221; model &#8211;\u00a0five years of mainstream support and five years of extended support.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The new Nano Server option will be handled in a different way.
