been using emoji the wrong way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Emoji are hugely popular on messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.<\/p>\n<p>The little faces and symbols are used to express emotion difficult to describe in a short message, and are also used to convey tone.<\/p>\n<p>The use of an\u00a0emoji is often determined by the user&#8217;s interpretation of what the icon means &#8211; which is not always what it was\u00a0designed for.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, users can reference the <a href=\"http:\/\/emojipedia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Emojipedia<\/strong><\/a> or the <a href=\"http:\/\/unicode.org\/emoji\/charts\/full-emoji-list.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Unicode emoji charts<\/strong><\/a> if they are unsure.<\/p>\n<p>Below are some of the more
