{"id":172834,"date":"2016-07-21T13:56:30","date_gmt":"2016-07-21T11:56:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=172834"},"modified":"2016-07-21T13:57:50","modified_gmt":"2016-07-21T11:57:50","slug":"simple-graph-shows-why-flash-should-die","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/172834-simple-graph-shows-why-flash-should-die.html","title":{"rendered":"Simple graph shows why Flash should die"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the years, there have been many requests for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/2015\/07\/adobe-flash-player-die\/\" target=\"_blank\">Flash to die<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0which included calls from companies\u00a0like Facebook, Mozilla, and Google.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/occupyflash.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>The Occupy Flash movement<\/strong><\/a>, which aims to rid the Internet of Flash, argues that \u201cFlash Player is dead\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFlash\u2019s time has passed. It&#8217;s buggy. It crashes a lot. It requires <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/security\/168819-immediately-update-or-delete-adobe-flash-player.html\"><strong>constant security updates<\/strong><\/a>.
