{"id":173540,"date":"2016-07-26T17:45:06","date_gmt":"2016-07-26T15:45:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=173540"},"modified":"2016-07-26T17:46:20","modified_gmt":"2016-07-26T15:46:20","slug":"new-r1400-smartwatch-powered-by-android","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/gadgets\/173540-new-r1400-smartwatch-powered-by-android.html","title":{"rendered":"New R1,400 smartwatch powered by Android"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chinese company Mobvoi has developed a $99 (R1,426) Android-powered smartwatch it calls the Ticwatch 2.<\/p>\n<p>Mobvoi has developed some proprietary software for the device, including a voice assistant.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/mobvoi\/ticwatch-2-the-most-interactive-smartwatch\" target=\"_blank\">A Kickstarter campaign<\/a><\/strong> for the\u00a0Ticwatch 2 launched on 26 July, with the device set to hit retailers in the United States\u00a0and Europe between September and December.<\/p>\n<p>The device is compatible with Android smartphones and iPhones.
