{"id":173756,"date":"2016-07-28T07:42:42","date_gmt":"2016-07-28T05:42:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=173756"},"modified":"2016-07-28T07:46:23","modified_gmt":"2016-07-28T05:46:23","slug":"top-programming-languages-of-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/173756-top-programming-languages-of-2016.html","title":{"rendered":"Top programming languages of 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IEEE Spectrum has released <a href=\"http:\/\/spectrum.ieee.org\/computing\/software\/the-2016-top-programming-languages\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>its ranking<\/strong><\/a> of the most popular programming languages of 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0IEEE Spectrum\u00a0uses &#8220;various metrics as proxies for gauging the current use of a language&#8221;, it said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Working with data journalist Nick Diakopoulos, from 10 online sources we\u2019ve chosen 12 metrics, each one of which gives insight along a different axis of popularity.
