{"id":175054,"date":"2016-08-06T07:19:22","date_gmt":"2016-08-06T05:19:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=175054"},"modified":"2016-08-06T07:22:35","modified_gmt":"2016-08-06T05:22:35","slug":"journalist-loses-case-against-sabc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/175054-journalist-loses-case-against-sabc.html","title":{"rendered":"Journalist loses case against SABC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vuyo Mvoko has lost his case against the SABC.<\/p>\n<p>The freelance journalist lodged an application to the High Court in Johannesburg to protect his contract and get reinstated, but the application was dismissed on Friday morning, PowerFM reported.<\/p>\n<p>The public broadcaster said in July it would stop scheduling him.<\/p>\n<p>The SABC sacked Mvoko and seven permanent staffers in July for speaking out against censorship at the broadcaster.
