{"id":175455,"date":"2016-08-10T14:15:54","date_gmt":"2016-08-10T12:15:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=175455"},"modified":"2016-08-10T14:20:26","modified_gmt":"2016-08-10T12:20:26","slug":"neotel-network-issues-triggered-by-malware","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/175455-neotel-network-issues-triggered-by-malware.html","title":{"rendered":"Neotel network issues triggered by malware"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The recent <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/175403-neotel-fixes-network-issues-gives-customers-free-data.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>network issues<\/strong><\/a> suffered by Neotel CDMA customers were triggered by\u00a0traffic generated by malware.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Neotel traced the primary source for the high level of congestion that triggered this complex issue to traffic generated by malware affecting some users within the CDMA network,&#8221; said Vinnay Singh, Executive Head of\u00a0Delivery, Assurance and Operations at Neotel.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The effect was mitigated by adding additional filters on Neotel\u2019s CDMA network firewalls.
