{"id":176795,"date":"2016-08-22T17:55:20","date_gmt":"2016-08-22T15:55:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=176795"},"modified":"2016-08-22T17:57:16","modified_gmt":"2016-08-22T15:57:16","slug":"windows-10-gets-wechat-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/176795-windows-10-gets-wechat-app.html","title":{"rendered":"Windows 10 gets WeChat app"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WeChat has launched an app for Windows 10 desktop\u00a0users, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.windowscentral.com\/popular-wechat-messaging-app-makes-its-windows-10-pc-debut\" target=\"_blank\">Windows Central reported<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>WeChat&#8217;s basic features are\u00a0supported in the app, but it is not possible to create a new WeChat account with the app.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/store\/p\/wechat-for-windows-10\/9nblggh4slx7\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft\u00a0Store listing<\/a><\/strong>, the app offers the following features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Send text, photos, files messages and playback audio messages in chats.<\/li>\n<li>View Sight, animated stickers and real-time location shared by friends.<\/li>\n<li>Search articles from Official Accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Designed for the Windows 10 Universal Platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Although the app is\u00a0built for the Universal\u00a0Windows Platform, it currently only supports x64 and x86 architectures.
