{"id":177263,"date":"2016-08-26T11:38:09","date_gmt":"2016-08-26T09:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=177263"},"modified":"2016-08-26T11:40:34","modified_gmt":"2016-08-26T09:40:34","slug":"apple-iphones-fail-more-often-than-android-smartphones-study","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/177263-apple-iphones-fail-more-often-than-android-smartphones-study.html","title":{"rendered":"Apple iPhones fail more often than Android smartphones &#8211; Study"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/info.blancco.com\/state-of-mobile-device-performance-and-health-trend-report-q2-2016.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>study from\u00a0Blancco Technology Group<\/strong><\/a> states that iOS devices have a higher failure rate than Android devices &#8211; with the iPhone 6 the worse performer.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/news.softpedia.com\/news\/iphones-and-ipads-fail-more-often-than-android-smartphones-study-507625.shtml\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Softpedia<\/strong><\/a>, the study focussed on the &#8220;State of Mobile Device Performance and Health&#8221; for Q2 2016 &#8211; finding that iOS devices had a 58% failure rate.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0iPhone 6 had the highest failure rate of 29%, followed by the\u00a0iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.<\/p>\n<p>Android smartphones\u00a0had an overall failure rate of 35% &#8211;\u00a0an improvement from 44% in Q1 2016.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">&#8220;Samsung, Lenovo, and LeTV were among the manufacturers with the weakest performance and higher failure rates.
