{"id":17823,"date":"2011-01-19T13:51:00","date_gmt":"2011-01-19T11:51:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2011-01-19T13:51:00","modified_gmt":"2011-01-19T11:51:00","slug":"fnb-extends-25c-per-minute-call-offering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/telecoms\/17823-fnb-extends-25c-per-minute-call-offering.html","title":{"rendered":"FNB extends 25c per minute call offering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/telecoms\/16741-Call-cellphones-landlines-worldwide-for-25c-per-minute.html\">FNB Connect launched their single rate call service<\/a> in November 2010, offering subscribers <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/telecoms\/16749-Call-around-the-world-for-25c-per-minute-The-details.html\">call rates of 25 cent per minute<\/a> to all destinations and networks locally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>This &lsquo;25c per minute&rsquo; call promotion was set to expire this month, but the company has extended this deal to the end of March 2011.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Our decision to extend the offer from 22 January 2011 to end of March 2011 was informed by the overwhelming customer uptake &ndash; proving that the South African consumer is in need of low cost communication,&rdquo; says <a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/303819-Farren-Roper\" title=\"Farren Roper\">Farren Roper<\/a>, Operations Manager at FNB Connect.<\/p>\n<p>According to FNB Connect they have witnessed a flurry of new registrations and have seen their monthly traffic increase by 400%.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We have seen an increase in call volumes being sent to South African mobile networks and a significant amount of minutes being sent to Telkom.
