{"id":180874,"date":"2016-09-27T19:25:09","date_gmt":"2016-09-27T17:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=180874"},"modified":"2016-09-27T19:26:22","modified_gmt":"2016-09-27T17:26:22","slug":"mtn-busy-fixing-billing-problems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/180874-mtn-busy-fixing-billing-problems.html","title":{"rendered":"MTN busy fixing billing problems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MTN is working on resolving a\u00a0billing problem that has left many subscribers without cellular services.<\/p>\n<p>Subscribers took to social media on 27 September to air their frustration\u00a0about a\u00a0system glitch that caused accounts to reflect massive outstanding balances.<\/p>\n<p>This seems to have led to some contract accounts being suspended for being over their credit limit.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are aware of the billing issue affecting approximately 44,000 of our post-paid customers,&#8221; said Benjamin Marais, CIO at MTN SA.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.
