The Tiobe Index<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>has released its programming languages ranking for November 2016, with Java at top spot.<\/p>\n

The index ranks the popularity of programming languages, tracking the growth and decline of languages over the years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Programming Community index is an indicator of the popularity of programming languages,\u201d said Tiobe.<\/p>\n

The table below shows the top 15 languages for November.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ratings are based on the number of skilled engineers worldwide, courses, and third-party vendors. Popular search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Wikipedia, Amazon, YouTube, and Baidu are used to calculate the ratings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is important to note that the index is not about the best programming language or the language in which most lines of code have been written.\u201d<\/p>\n
