{"id":19019,"date":"2011-03-12T16:12:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-12T14:12:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2011-03-12T16:12:00","modified_gmt":"2011-03-12T14:12:00","slug":"mtn-sh-relink-replacement-on-the-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/19019-mtn-sh-relink-replacement-on-the-way.html","title":{"rendered":"MTN Sh@relink replacement on the way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MTN revealed at a press event held in Johannesburg that they will be launching a new 3G Wi-Fi gateway to replace the current Sh@relink device offered by the operator.<\/p>\n<p>According to MTN the current Sh@relink, a branded Huawei B970b 3G gateway, will be replaced by the Huawei B660 and B683.<\/p>\n<p>The devices will still be called &ldquo;Sh@relink&rdquo; and MTN said that they didn&#8217;t foresee an increase in price from the old Huawei B970 gateway to the new B660 and B683 gateways.<\/p>\n<p>While the B660 still supports download speeds of 7.2 Mbps, MTN said that the Huawei B683 device is able to support 21.1 megabit per second (Mbps) HSPA+ speeds.
