Australia plans to process travellers using biometric recognition of the face, iris, and fingerprints – replacing the current passport scanners and paper cards.<\/p>\n
Australia\u2019s Department of Immigration and Border Protection said that by 2020 it wants to have a system in place \u201cto process 90% of travellers automatically, with no human involvement\u201d.<\/p>\n
