On 17 August 2006 the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) published regulations regarding the provision of Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) services.<\/p>\n

These regulations require Telkom and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to publish on their website, on a quarterly basis, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) detailing at the least: packet loss, average latency and jitter for the provisioned ADSL service.<\/p>\n

Telkom was the only company which followed these regulations until recently, but MWEB started to publish their ADSL KPIs in mid-2010 as well.<\/p>\n

MWEB has now released their latest ADSL KPIs, showing a significant improvement in network quality in both national and international performance.<\/p>\n
