{"id":20026,"date":"2011-05-03T20:44:00","date_gmt":"2011-05-03T18:44:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2011-05-03T20:44:00","modified_gmt":"2011-05-03T18:44:00","slug":"mweb-adsl-international-problems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/adsl\/20026-mweb-adsl-international-problems.html","title":{"rendered":"MWEB ADSL international problems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many MWEB ADSL users started reporting international connectivity problems at around 20:30 tonight.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A few minutes later certain users started reporting that their international connectivity had been restored, while others were still struggling to access international services.<\/p>\n<p>MWEB&#8217;s helpdesk confirmed the international connectivity problems, but the cause of the outage is currently unknown. The company&#8217;s network notice centre merely stated that there is an &#8220;MWEB ADSL outage affecting All Regions&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>[Update]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MWEN ISP CEO Derek Hershaw explains that they have a new bandwidth management device at their London POP which is not functioning as expected.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The new device caused 3 very short (less than 5 minutes) outages in the last week or so.
