{"id":2023,"date":"2007-11-20T23:40:00","date_gmt":"2007-11-20T21:40:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2015-09-21T11:56:31","modified_gmt":"2015-09-21T09:56:31","slug":"vodacom-ups-its-stake-in-iburst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wireless\/2023-vodacom-ups-its-stake-in-iburst.html","title":{"rendered":"Vodacom ups its stake in iBurst"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fmtech.co.za\/telecoms\/vodacom-ups-stake-in-iburst-parent\/\" target=\"_blank\">FMTech reports<\/a> that Vodacom CEO Alan Knott-Craig confirmed that the cellular giant will increase its 10% stake in WBS to 24.9%.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main benefits of the WBS stake is that Vodacom gets access to the company\u2019s WiMax license and spectrum, something which many companies are looking for.<\/p>\n<p>Only four operators &#8211; namely Telkom, Neotel, Sentech and iBurst &#8211; have been issued with WiMax spectrum.
