{"id":203296,"date":"2017-03-19T07:05:26","date_gmt":"2017-03-19T05:05:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=203296"},"modified":"2017-03-19T07:09:09","modified_gmt":"2017-03-19T05:09:09","slug":"the-sabc-is-about-to-collapse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/203296-the-sabc-is-about-to-collapse.html","title":{"rendered":"The SABC is about to collapse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The SABC is in chaos and its finances are in a terrible state, according to a report by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news24.com\/SouthAfrica\/News\/sabc-faces-collapse-20170319-3\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>City Press<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The report stated that the production of new TV shows has been\u00a0halted and employees are worried they will not be paid.<\/p>\n<p>This follows the SABC admitting it was under financial pressure and was &#8220;funding activities from its reserves&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>An SABC insider told the City Press that the broadcaster is on the verge of a financial collapse. &#8220;It\u2019s worse than the SABC\u2019s financial collapse in 2008,&#8221;
