{"id":20410,"date":"2011-05-21T07:44:00","date_gmt":"2011-05-21T05:44:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2011-05-27T18:39:07","modified_gmt":"2011-05-27T18:39:07","slug":"sony-under-attack-from-hackers-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/security\/20410-sony-under-attack-from-hackers-again.html","title":{"rendered":"Sony under attack from hackers &#8211; again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"BodyP\">So-net says that someone gained improper access to user  accounts and successfully used so-called &#8220;So-net points&#8221; to obtain  goods worth about $1,225.<\/p>\n<p class=\"BodyP\">It said it discovered the activity late Wednesday after  customer complaints and cut off the Internet Protocol address behind  about 10,000 attempts to break into the system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"BodyP\">The intruder used points from 128 accounts and illicitly checked the e-mails of 90 users.<\/p>\n<p class=\"BodyP\">The attack occurred just after Sony began last weekend  restoring service to users of its PlayStation Network in the United  States and Europe.
