Discover Digital said it also plans to\u00a0support\u00a0Chromecast, Airplay, DEOD media players, and major Smart TVs soon.<\/p>\n<p>DEOD offers live\u00a0streaming, various on-demand packages, and movie rentals.<\/p>\n<p>Movie rentals are priced\u00a0at R30 for new releases and R18 for older movies. Once it expires, you cannot watch the movie, and you will need to rent it again to watch it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>At launch, the &#8220;latest&#8221; titles included the Queen of Katwe, Sing, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Moana, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.<\/p>\n<p>Users are not required to have a DEOD monthly subscription package to rent movies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Movies.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-209338 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Movies-640x243.jpg\" alt=\"Movies\" width=\"640\" height=\"243\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Movies-640x243.jpg 640w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Movies-600x228.jpg 600w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Movies-768x292.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Movies-1200x456.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Movies.jpg 1480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Supported\u00a0Platforms<\/h3>\n<p>Supported platforms for the DEOD service include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PCs and Macs &#8211; Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Internet Explorer 10 do not require a plugin. (Linux PCs and Safari browser not supported.)<\/li>\n<li>iOS 7.0 and up.<\/li>\n<li>Android 4.1 and up.<\/li>\n<li>Windows Phone 8.1 and up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Support for smart TVs is expected soon, said the company.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;DEOD is only available in selected countries in Africa.
