{"id":215326,"date":"2017-07-02T17:46:43","date_gmt":"2017-07-02T15:46:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=215326"},"modified":"2017-07-02T17:50:31","modified_gmt":"2017-07-02T15:50:31","slug":"what-to-do-when-sars-efiling-wont-work-with-chrome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/215326-what-to-do-when-sars-efiling-wont-work-with-chrome.html","title":{"rendered":"What to do when SARS eFiling won&#8217;t work with Chrome"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tax season is open for individuals, and SARS is encouraging citizens to use its eFiling system.<\/p>\n<p>While the eFiling system is simple and works as intended, users have encountered issues with the portal when accessing it via Google Chrome.<\/p>\n<p>Solutions to common problems encountered by users are detailed below.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Tax Return won&#8217;t load<\/h3>\n<p>One of the issues users have faced is problems with Flash.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sarsefiling.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SARS eFiling website<\/strong><\/a> is &#8220;optimally viewed in Internet Explorer versions 8+ browsers&#8221;, and requires the &#8220;latest version of Adobe Flash player and Adobe Reader&#8221;, said SARS.<\/p>\n<p>When a user logs in to their eFiling page and clicks on the My Tax Return (ITR12) link to submit their return, they may be greeted with a &#8220;you need the latest version of Flash to access this&#8221; message.<\/p>\n<p>To allow Flash to work in Chrome, access Chrome&#8217;s Settings page.<\/p>\n<p>This can be done via the drop-down list in the &#8220;three-dot&#8221; menu, or you can type &#8220;chrome:\/\/settings&#8221; into the URL bar.<\/p>\n<p>On the Settings page, click Settings &gt; Advanced &gt; Privacy and Security &gt; Content Settings &gt; Flash.<\/p>\n<p>On the Flash page, ensure that &#8220;Allow sites to run Flash&#8221; is enabled.
