{"id":217614,"date":"2017-06-30T08:03:26","date_gmt":"2017-06-30T06:03:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=217614"},"modified":"2017-06-30T08:06:19","modified_gmt":"2017-06-30T06:06:19","slug":"amd-launches-powerful-ryzen-pro-cpus-for-workstations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/217614-amd-launches-powerful-ryzen-pro-cpus-for-workstations.html","title":{"rendered":"AMD launches powerful Ryzen Pro CPUs for workstations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AMD has launched its new <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amd.com\/en-us\/press-releases\/Pages\/amd-ryzen-pro-2017jun29.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ryzen Pro processors<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>based on its Zen architecture.<\/p>\n<p>The new processor line-up includes Ryzen 3 Pro, 5 Pro, and 7 Pro CPUs &#8211; with the high-end versions boasting 8 physical cores and 16 threads.<\/p>\n<p>The new chips are aimed at professional users and will be implemented in traditional business desktops and enterprise workstations.<\/p>\n<p>AMD said its Pro processors boast a 52% increase in compute ability over its previous generation of similar CPUs, and the Ryzen 7 Pro 1700 features 62% more multi-threaded performance than competing products.<\/p>\n<p>Ryzen Pro processors will be available in the second half of 2017.
