{"id":221845,"date":"2017-07-27T08:08:19","date_gmt":"2017-07-27T06:08:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=221845"},"modified":"2017-07-27T08:10:53","modified_gmt":"2017-07-27T06:10:53","slug":"windows-lets-you-link-your-phone-and-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/221845-windows-lets-you-link-your-phone-and-pc.html","title":{"rendered":"Windows lets you link your phone and PC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.windows.com\/windowsexperience\/2017\/07\/26\/announcing-windows-10-insider-preview-build-16251-pc-build-15235-mobile\/#pzdLpULXufgjyvOg.97\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Microsoft has unveiled<\/strong><\/a> its latest Windows 10 Insider Preview, which lets you connect your Android smartphone &#8211; and soon your iPhone &#8211; to your PC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis build\u2019s scenario is focused on cross-device web-browsing,\u201d said Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>After installing the new Windows 10 build, go to Settings &gt; Phone, and link your phone.<\/p>\n<p>The link ensures your sessions from your phone are continued on the PC you\u2019ve chosen.<\/p>\n<p>After linking your phone, you will receive an SMS from Microsoft directing you to install a test application called \u201cMicrosoft Apps\u201d for Android.<\/p>\n<p>This completes the link and enables one of Windows\u2019 first cross-device browsing scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter you\u2019ve linked your phone, just go to your phone and start browsing the web.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When you are at a website you want to view on your PC, you invoke the native share experience and share the website to the \u201cContinue on PC\u201d option.<\/p>\n<p>Once invoked, it will ask you to sign in with your Microsoft Account. It is important you use the same account you are using on your PC.<\/p>\n<p>Next it will ask you if you want to \u201cContinue now\u201d or \u201cContinue later\u201d.
