{"id":223368,"date":"2017-08-06T10:55:46","date_gmt":"2017-08-06T08:55:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=223368"},"modified":"2017-08-06T10:57:33","modified_gmt":"2017-08-06T08:57:33","slug":"forget-best-we-are-sas-bozza-mobile-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/223368-forget-best-we-are-sas-bozza-mobile-network.html","title":{"rendered":"Forget best, we are \u201cSA\u2019s Bozza mobile network\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MTN is sidestepping terms like &#8220;best&#8221; and &#8220;fastest&#8221; in its latest advertising campaign, now claiming to be \u201cSA\u2019s Bozza mobile network\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last year,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/219850-mtn-loses-again.html\"><strong>MTN has lost numerous battles<\/strong><\/a> against Vodacom over claims of having South Africa\u2019s best mobile network.<\/p>\n<p>The Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa (ASA) recently ruled that <a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/219850-mtn-loses-again.html\"><strong>Vodacom can claim to have the country\u2019s best mobile network<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/216802-mtn-backs-down-in-south-africas-fastest-mobile-network-fight.html\"><strong>In June, MTN also agreed<\/strong><\/a> to remove its claim of having SA\u2019s fastest mobile network, following an ASA complaint by Vodacom.<\/p>\n<p>MTN is now sidestepping the complexities of the claims, and has opted for the term \u201cBozza\u201d in its latest campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Its latest advertising states \u201cSwitch to SA\u2019s Bozza mobile network \u2013 The network that loves streaming music and HD videos\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>MTN\u2019s newspaper advertisement reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>SA\u2019s <\/strong><del>Best. Aweh. Makoya. Nkalakatha. Skhokho. That thing. Unbelievable. Super. Top shayela. Amazing. Uitstekend. Unrivalled.
