{"id":226069,"date":"2017-08-27T09:00:05","date_gmt":"2017-08-27T07:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=226069"},"modified":"2017-08-27T09:00:47","modified_gmt":"2017-08-27T07:00:47","slug":"multiple-enhancements-to-dstv-now-made-by-multichoice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/226069-multiple-enhancements-to-dstv-now-made-by-multichoice.html","title":{"rendered":"Multiple enhancements to DStv Now made by MultiChoice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MultiChoice has made multiple enhancements to DStv Now in recent months, following viewer growth on the platform.<\/p>\n<p>DStv Now is available to Premium, Compact Plus, and Compact customers, and be accessed via web browsers, or its Android and iOS apps.<\/p>\n<p>MultiChoice said it has implemented a number of improvements for the service in recent months, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opening DStv Now to Compact Plus and Compact customers.<\/li>\n<li>Customers can now screencast on\u00a0Android and iOS, and AirPlay on iOS.<\/li>\n<li>Updating the live TV layout on the DStv Now apps.<\/li>\n<li>Launching additional channels on the service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The channels and their launch dates include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ginx eSports &#8211; 1 May<\/li>\n<li>Sundance\u00a0TV &#8211; 1 June<\/li>\n<li>SuperSport 10, 11, 12 &#8211; 4 July<\/li>\n<li>SABC 1,2,3, and eNCA &#8211; 12 July<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">More value<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;We want to give our customers the same viewing and entertainment experience they get on their decoders at home, on DStv Now while they are on the go,&#8221; said MultiChoice of the enhancements.<\/p>\n<p>An aspect the company is focused on is providing viewers with high-quality video streams, which it manages using adaptive bitrate technology.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This allows our customers to see a higher-quality stream based on the speed of their connection.
