They just deleted my data,\u201d said the user. All his Android settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the data for his apps was gone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere&#8217;s apparently an expiration date that shows up under the backup, but there was no notification, no email, and no proactive notice at all.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/drive\/answer\/6305834?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&amp;hl=en&amp;oco=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The Google Drive help page<\/strong><\/a> for managing and restoring device backups explains the issue.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Your backup will remain as long as you use your device.
