{"id":2298,"date":"2007-12-20T21:46:00","date_gmt":"2007-12-20T19:46:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2007-12-20T21:46:00","modified_gmt":"2007-12-20T19:46:00","slug":"yello-hummer-no-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/2298-yello-hummer-no-more.html","title":{"rendered":"Yello Hummer No More"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MTN recently launched an Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa (ASA) complaint against Nando&rsquo;s &ldquo;Yello&rsquo; HUMMER&rdquo; advertising campaign, saying that it exploits its advertising goodwill and is an imitation of the cellular company&rsquo;s advertising.<\/p>\n<p>The ASA has subsequently ruled against Nandos&rsquo;s &ldquo;Yello Hummer&rdquo; advertising campaign, and the company now has to withdraw its print advertisement, in-store promotional material as well as the radio commercial.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Nando&rsquo;s has deliberately copied MTN&rsquo;s advertising in a manner that is unacceptable.  The &lsquo;Yello Hummer&rsquo; advertising campaign is a clear imitation of MTN&rsquo;s &lsquo;Yello Summer&rsquo; past summer campaign.
