{"id":232711,"date":"2017-10-10T15:30:09","date_gmt":"2017-10-10T13:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=232711"},"modified":"2017-10-10T15:32:04","modified_gmt":"2017-10-10T13:32:04","slug":"postboxes-now-come-with-a-free-digital-postbox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/business\/232711-postboxes-now-come-with-a-free-digital-postbox.html","title":{"rendered":"Postboxes now come with a free &#8220;digital postbox&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The SA Post Office has announced that customers who renew their postboxes before the end of 2017 will qualify for a free digital postbox for life.<\/p>\n<p>A digital postbox is a platform where users can send and receive eRegistered and confidential mail electronically.<\/p>\n<p>eRegistered mail is the \u201cLegislated Electronic Registered Mail of South Africa\u201d, and has the same legal status as the current physical registered mail.<\/p>\n<p>Where the law requires documents to be delivered by registered mail, doing so via eRegistered mail will suffice.<\/p>\n<p>The digital postbox is a \u201chighly-secure communication platform for sending and receiving electronic mail\u201d, and\u00a0offers an encrypted vault for storing electronic documents.
