{"id":234590,"date":"2017-10-25T15:38:36","date_gmt":"2017-10-25T13:38:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=234590"},"modified":"2017-10-25T15:40:24","modified_gmt":"2017-10-25T13:40:24","slug":"the-kinect-is-officially-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/gadgets\/234590-the-kinect-is-officially-dead.html","title":{"rendered":"The Kinect is officially dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has admitted the death of the Kinect and stopped manufacturing the device, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcodesign.com\/90147868\/exclusive-microsoft-has-stopped-manufacturing-the-kinect\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Co.Design<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Kinect was a camera and microphone created for use with the Xbox 360.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft told Co.Design it will continue to support the device for Xbox users, but will not manufacture more Kinect units.<\/p>\n<p>Kinect was once hailed as the next big revolution in living room gaming, and was intended to be a big part of the Xbox One.
